moisture surge

Ever wondered what the liquid gold of hair care was? Argon Oil! Extracted from Moroccan Argon Fruit, this precious oil is a life saver, with the ability to repair shine, strength and softness into the most damaged locks. Continuously making your gorgeous hair look its best, Argon Oil is an all around global styling aid that nourishes color treated hair, protects against styling tools, minimizes blow dry time and even guards against UV damage when we’re out playing in the sun. I took this secret beauty product for a test drive, and found that I can use a dime size amount on wet hair before styling, or on dry hair between shampoos, and it never weights it down. It’s like lotion for the hair - liquid gold lotion that is, and I am hooked!!

My personal favorites: DermaOrganics Argon Oil Shampoo, DermaOrganics Conditioner and DermaOrganics Leave-in Treatment.

pump up the volume

If there is one thing I can’t have too much of is: volume. I’m addicted, and there is nothing that gets me there faster than Rene Furterer’s Vegetal Mousse. I never style my hair without it! I love this beauty wonder. It inflates my hair, moisturizes and holds the style for a couple days wear. After shampooing, I towel dry my hair, give a good shake to the mousse can, squirt three golf balls of product into my palm and apply evenly to the root area around my crown. I blow dry my hair pushing it in opposite directions, then finish by smoothing the hair with a round brush or my favorite Marilyn. On occasion when I want to get even more lift out of my hair, I pop in two velcro rollers at the crown, go straight to doing my makeup and by the time I’m done, the rollers come out, and I am ready to go!

essentials of a jetsetter

So I am leaving for a few weeks to Europe, and my ultimate goal is to travel out of a moderate size bag, and that’s it. After much trial and error with trips to the gym and sleep overs, I have found the best travel combo without skimping on having hot babe hair. This is what I have in my travel bag: the mini Marilyn Downtown brush, the BioIonic TravelPro blow dryer, three mini Go Toob containers one with DermaOrganic Shampoo, Conditioner and the Argon Oil, and last, but not least the Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo.

I love the mini Marilyn, because it takes the place of a wide tooth comb and a round brush. Plus, it’s made out of bore bristles so it helps to smooth my hair. The mini blow dryer is simply a must have. It’s half the size of my full size dryer yet just as powerful. This mini gets the job done quickly and is ionic, which means it smoothes the cuticle of your hair making it shinny and hydrated.

Then I love the Go Toob containers. You can put just about anything in them, and if you have never seen them, they collapse down as you use up your product, which ultimately means more room in your bag in the long run. As for the product, I’ll put into my Go Toobs is the DermaOrganic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Argon Oil. The Argon oil is an all around fabulous styling product and leave in conditioner, protecting your ends and smoothing out the hair. Finally, in between shampooing, I’ll touch up my hair with the dry shampoo, which refreshes my hair by absorbing excess oil, while giving it a lift. The results are continuous happy hair!! Give it a try! Enjoy!

buns on the town

Lately, I’ve been loving all these adorable samurai top knots. This ballerina inspired bun is super versatile. It’s an easy go-to style when you’re in a rush, and don’t have time to wash your hair, or better yet when you’re trying to take a break from all your styling tools. It’s super easy: just pull your hair back to a high pony tail, secure with a hair ban, tease the tail, lightly twist into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Then accessorize with some cuty earrings, a dainty necklace, or some hip glasses, and you're out the door!
