New Location Announcement

HI Everyone,

It’s been a year next week since the pandemic shut us down. So much has happened in that time for me, you, and the world. I want you to know that I’m holding those of you who are still struggling, and/or grieving close in my heart.

On the Morphic front, I have some big news.  I have moved again!  The new and long term home for Morphic is now in the Dogpatch neighborhood at the American Industrial Center (the northern building) at 2325 Third St. Unit 338 SF CA 94107.

I am very excited about this spot.  My original hair dream has been to have a beautiful private hair studio with enough space for my varied creative inclinations.  Where I have landed is literally the dream coming true for me.  I couldn’t imagine a more perfect space. It doesn’t just feel like a dream come true, but a miracle!

Since last year, I have been working in my husband’s wood workshop with mostly positive feedback, but there were some definite drawbacks like the power saws, the sketchy stairs, and when I left the door open there were occasions that strange people would show up and make me nervous.  But for the most part, I think we enjoyed that stint.  I am so humbled by my clients willingness to “go where I go.”  The vast majority of clients thought the wood workshop was cool even when there were 10 ft sparks flying from metal being cut with a saw (true story).  I’m sure we will be looking back with smiles, saying “Remember that time--- !”

Anyways, I have so enjoyed the look on my clients faces when they see the new space that I decided not to post photos!  I figure that you, my hardcore devoted Mishi followers, trust me and will come, and I want to see the look on your face when you see it for the first time.

With this new space, I am also shedding some old ideas about “being somebody.” Being your favorite stylist is all that matters to me. The pandemic has shown me two big things: one, that relying on Instagram and broad marketing to a wide population only works when you are passionate about it ; and two that I have attained the greatest clients in San Francisco and their recommendations to friends and family are the only growth I’m interested in.  My only goal is to remain the low-key, unpretentious, playful, word-of-mouth, creative, hair artist and stylist I’ve always been and to give all of my time to you.

Last thing I want to mention is that I need the month of March to get the place ready.  I don’t have the shampoo bowl or utility sink set up yet - and those are essential as you know. I apologize to you guys already scheduled for this week and month. I feel really bad about this. The appointments already on the books can come in for dry cuts, and we will reschedule your color for the earliest possible April dates.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Love

Mishi
