We're excited to announce that Morphic will be hosting a flash mob party to celebrate the Giants winning the World Series this Wednesday from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at 660 Market St Suite 210. The parade will be starting at 11 am and turning the corner at Montgomery onto Market right in front of Morphic. Come! You and your friends are invited. Don't miss out, on what is likely to be one of the best days to be in San Francisco ever! It’s on Halloween so I will be in my costume, and I invite you to do the same!Moo hahahaha!!
another day, another ombre
I have always referred to my place of business as my hair studio. You could say that it's a salon, but I don't call it that. When I think of a salon, I think of a beauty salon that has a few or more stylists working on hair and churning out more clients then I could ever do on my own. Instead, I think of myself as an artist, who chose hair as her medium, and works for herself in her artist's studio. I like being a lone stylist with a small support team that helps me realize and create the ideas that are constantly spinning around in my head.
Morphic feels different than other 'salons' because there's a feeling of exclusivity. I book my appointments one at a time so I can guarantee my client my very best. Morphic also feels different because there's often a conversation about how we are innovative in the business in creating the most optimum experience. There's an exchange of ideas about how we can do more, be better, and be unique from the rest of the salons out there.
Step by step, things are heading in the right direction, as we seize new opportunities that present themselves. We are small, but nimble. While I don't think of Morphic as a classic kind of hair salon, I guess it is turning into what was traditionally thought of a 'salon'. Wiki's first definition of the word salon is "a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation". That's Morphic all right!
Along with the creation of awesome hair, this definition is exactly what happens at Morphic. I often hear people say, "I enjoy coming in here and hanging out with you guys!" and that is something I will continue to strive for. So... come hang with us soon! xoxo Mishi
