gaultier at the de young

IMG_0793-e1342490720535.jpg
Jean Paul Gaultier is a nonconformist fashion designer, bending society's definition of what's "pretty" by creating masterfully crafted haute couture. This exhibition is superlative to all the fashion exhibitions that have been shown at De young combined.  Gaultier is a fashion leader in pushing the limits of what's possible.
Odile Gilbert has many memorable wigs displayed on the mannequins in this show.  She is also the leading female of the editorial hair world.  Both residing in Paris, Odile and Gaultier have collaborated on many shows.  Gaultier has obviously influenced Odile's creative exploration in ways that have advanced the art of hairstyling. Would you wear any of these styles?! Which one?

sally's razor cut reinvention:

Check out Sally's new razor cut! Mishi took off several inches of hair with a razor cutting technique to create this fun, funky, layered look! It's a great way to show off the drama of her high contrast, natural color. We love it, and she does too!

the annie ombre:

Annie has the Morphic look with her new ombre style! She's an awesome client, with tons of natural panache. Annie is so down-to-earth, but her style is definitely fashion forward! New to San Francisco, she came to Morphic after an attempted ombre look at another salon that left her longing. Annie came in for a consultation with Mishi and hit it off right away! Evaluating the grown-out highlights that were totally not ombre, Annie and Mishi decided on a more subtle, natural ombre look with both lowlights and highlights to create contrast and depth. Annie's natural color is so dark that she actually did two ombre sessions to achieve this lighter, sun-kissed look.  Isn't she fabulous?!
